You will need to select the MIDI file and "Open" it with Logic. Choosing to "Import" the file will not bring in the tempo info. If you already have a project file started in Logic for your collaboration, open the MIDI file as a new project, open its tempo list, copy all the events, then close that file, open your existing project, open the tempo list and paste the events in. Viola!
