Sarah Paulson made her American Horror Story debut with her portrayal of Billie Dean Howard in the show's season. Since then she has quickly become a fan-favorite actor. Once Paulson became a main cast member in American Horror Story: Asylum as Lana Winters, she continued to garner leading roles in the series. In AHS: Coven she became the supreme witch Cordelia Goode, followed by a double-header role as conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler in AHS: Freakshow. While she primarily portrayed Sally McKenna in AHS: Hotel, Paulson's Billie Dean Howard also made a surprise reappearance when investigating the Hotel Cortez and returned for a second time in season 8, AHS: Apocalypse. Sarah Paulson is in nearly every season of American Horror Story except for AHS: 1984 but she will return for the upcoming season 10.
