Good luck with modifying the ski slope to make it look OEM. That is a highly visible location and an expensive part to replace. I opted for a less visible location. I modified the small finisher at the rear of our console and added the two new XJ6 switches there. The pictures that I posted around 2007 show how it looks. Not OEM XJ-S, but OEM XJ6 and they are convenient to use. But it is your car, so have at it!
