Yet, sometimes, stylistic variation does manifest itself in the MCU. The best example of this is Thor: Ragnarok, which came out in 2017 and was directed by the incredibly successful New Zealand director Taika Waititi. The Thor franchise is a trilogy, and consists of the first Thor movie in 2011, directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor: The Dark World (2013, Alan Taylor), which was less well received than its predecessor, and ultimately Thor: Ragnarok which is considered as the best Thor film and one of the best Marvel films ever made. Waititi did some special things with this one, and I thought that for this post, we could look at some of those!
